RELATED ORGANIZATIONS

DOCS is not alone in teaching clinical skills to the next generation of doctors. In fact, part of its mission is to “encourage the exchange of ideas across the continuum of clinical skills education.”

Reaching out to other organizations who value excellence in clinical, bedside skills is a part of our organizational DNA. Organizations can do more together than alone to ensure that tomorrow’s doctors value and embrace excellence in their clinical skills.

We also want our members to know about the fine work that is being done by such “sister” organizations, and even partake of their offerings. (In fact, many of our members are already engaged with other like-minded organizations.)

Some of those organizations we have begun organizationally working with or soon hope to work with include:

• Society of Bedside Medicine

• Clinical Skills Evaluation Collaboration (CSEC)

• AMA (especially its Accelerating Change in Medical Education initiative)

• American Thoracic Society (Medical Education Section)

• Society of Ultrasound in Medical Education (SUSME)
